Lunchtime snack or evening meal, the Wessex Hotel in Street can cater for all tastes. Lighter meals and snacks are offered in our cosy bar or for dining outside in the sunshine on the hotel terrace on a warm summer’s day. Alternatively if it is a larger meal you require or a special three course dinner then our Olive Tree restaurant never fails to satisfy both the eyes and the taste buds. Simple, classic dishes cooked well from locally sourced, fresh ingredients are the order of the day. Fresh fish delivered daily, meat reared on the lush Somerset meadows, full of succulent flavour and crisp vegetables and salad. Our talented Head Chef believes in letting the flavour of good food speak for itself. To compliment these fabulous dishes, a selection of desserts is served the old fashioned way, let your eyes devour the sweet trolley and choose which tantalising pudding will complete your meal or opt for a selection of local West country cheeses including ; Quickes mature Cheddar, Somersetshire Blue and creamy Somerset Brie.

Sunday Roast Lunch is an English tradition. All the family get together and enjoy a well-roasted meat and selection of tasty vegetables and crispy roast potatoes with gravy. Take away the stress and let some else cook for you and do the washing up! The Wessex Hotel is justifiably proud of their Sunday carvery, we welcome all the family to come and tuck in to a magnificent selection of roast joints, three types of potatoes, bountiful vegetable dishes, gravy and all the traditional trimmings. Still hungry then the dessert trolley is on offer with classic puddings to finish off.
