Car Parking: Residents’ cars may be parked for no charge in the Hotel car park, but no responsibility is accepted for loss or damage.

 

Guest Cancellations: If there has not been a non-refundable deposit, and the room/booking is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the day its commencement, then the guest will be charged the full cost of the first night of the booking. If more than 24 hours notice is given, then there is no cancellation charge.

 

Hotel Cancellation of Guest Bookings

The Hotel reserves the right to cancel guest, conference and function reservations, and in doing so will notify at the earliest opportunity.

 

Children: High chairs are available free of charge. The Hotel has one cot, which is also available free of charge.

 

Lost Property/Valuables: Please deposit any valuables with the Duty Manager and obtain a receipt. The Hotel cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of articles not deposited in this way.

 

Property Damage

The Wessex Hotel will make a claim for any damage to property.

 

Pets: Pets are not allowed, the exception being Guide Dogs.

 

Room Service: Room Service is available to our guests for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all other services provided within the hotel for which an additional charge of £5.00 per delivery is made. There is no charge for the delivery of newspapers.

 

Smoking: From 1st July 2007, to accord with new Government regulations, there will be no smoking anywhere in the Hotel. Until then, we do allow smoking in some of the bedrooms. Ask at Reception when booking.

 

Disabled Access: The facilities available for disabled access are:

 

- Two car park spaces near the Hotel entrance reserved for cars displaying Disabled Stickers,

- A ramp leading to the Reception area,
- A ramp leading to the Wessex Suite,
- A passenger lift to all floors,
- A Loop Hearing Aid at Reception
- An alarm in the Downstairs Toilets
- Two double bedrooms with grab rails in the combined toilet/bathroom.

 

Prior to making a reservation, please supply the dimensions of your wheel-chair to Reception.
