Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and choosing the right venue is a major part of this. The Wessex hotel is the perfect choice. Licensed to hold Civil Weddings in two beautiful rooms surely The Wessex Hotel is the ideal place to say "I do". The ground floor room has patio doors leading out to the hotel front terrace for photos and champagne after the ceremony. The second is our Grand Ballroom situated on the first floor, with seating up to 400 guests.
The Bride and Groom can then choose from three separate rooms for the Wedding Breakfast. The Wessex Suite has its own bar and can accommodate up to 60 guests dining, the Olive Tree will accommodate 90 guests or for the real Wow! factor the magnificent Grand Ballroom on the second floor will accommodate up to 250 guests seated. This fantastic space is ideal for larger weddings, with its own bar and lounge area and a solid wooden dance floor for partying the night away.
And so to bed after a long day! Spend your first night in comfort in a fabulous four-poster bed, 49 further guests rooms are available for your friends and family to also stay over and then join you for breakfast the following morning.
